Dunes.
The close one. Nellis Dunes is an off-highway vehicle area of 10,035 acres north of Las Vegas. Take Interstate 15 north about 15 miles to Exit 58. Expect hard pack, loose dirt, sand, rolling hills and dunes.
Logandale
Trails.
More than 200 miles of trails, about an hour from Las Vegas up Interstate 15. Red rock, sand and enough variety for a full day.
Dumont
Dunes.
On the California side, reached through Pahrump and Tecopa. Dumont Dunes covers 7,620 acres, and the dunes rise more than 400 feet above the desert floor. A pass is required. Fuel and food are in Pahrump, Shoshone and Baker.

We start just outside Pahrump, Nevada, about 59 miles from the Las Vegas Strip. Meet at 7 AM, kickstands up at 8 AM. Groups of 3 to 6. Booking is not open yet, so get on the list and hear first.
Bring the skills.
You need a motorcycle license and intermediate to advanced desert-riding experience: rocks, sand, loose gravel, big hills up and down, and side hills. Small dual sport bikes only. No adventure (ADV) bikes. Read the full rider and bike requirements before you make plans.
