A motorcycle route means different things to different riders. For Roundup, the focus is an all-day desert adventure on a small dual sport, with friends, a chase truck and a proper homemade lunch along the way.
The riding calls for intermediate to advanced skills: rocks, sand, loose gravel, big climbs and descents, and side hills. If that sounds like your kind of day, start with our supported dirt bike ride just outside Pahrump.
Read the terrain,
then the mileage.
A short stretch of loose rock or deep sand can ask more of a rider than a much longer easy road. When comparing motorcycle routes, look at the terrain and elevation changes alongside the distance. Think about how the whole group rides, particularly late in the day.
Death Valley Roundup is an all-day desert adventure. The final route and meeting instructions will be shared with the ride details. We have not published a route map or GPX track yet.

Small bikes.
Big country.
This is a small dual sport ride. No adventure (ADV) bikes. We have other rides for big bikes. Bring a mechanically sound, street-legal dual sport, or choose a high performance KTM or Husqvarna rental as part of the supported experience.
A motorcycle license is required either way. Your own bike should have mousse tire inserts for the rough terrain. Read the full rider and bike requirements before making plans.
Sort the gear
before the dust.
For Roundup, the chase truck carries your gear. Helmets are provided, and some additional riding gear is available to reserve ahead. Chef Ruth handles the homemade lunch, with drinks and snacks supplied along the way.
If you are planning your own desert motorcycle route, work through fuel range, navigation, current access and conditions, tools and tire equipment before setting out. Agree on a plan with your riding friends and match the day to the least experienced rider in the group.

The $399 option includes a high performance KTM or Husqvarna dual sport rental and fuel. The $299 option lets you bring your own mechanically sound, street-legal small dual sport. Both include the all-day supported adventure, a helmet, gear transport, Chef Ruth’s lunch, drinks, snacks and a beer after riding.
